Vintage flat-woven wool tapestry by Swedish designer Carl Edvin Svensson.
Carl Edvin Svensson (1899–1963) was a Swedish textile artist known for his distinctive flat-weave and tapestry designs, often signed with the monogram CES. Working largely in southern Sweden, Svensson developed a personal visual language rooted in geometric abstraction and stylised folk motifs. His textiles appeared in notable interior commissions, including work produced for Malmö City Theater in the early 1930s, and several of his weavings are represented in regional Swedish museum collections.
